thoughtful mothering

Good Heavens, I am so forgetful!  Every day my children each have new names!  Yep, I always "forget" their names.  Well, perhaps not "forget", but often I do have to run through all their names to reach the right one.  I have a horrible memory.  I must record our days, our thoughts, our actions.  The only way to remember how exciting Jacob's first football playoff game, how amazing Logan's part in the school musical was, how happy Micah was when he scored a touchdown, and how nervous Cooper was on the first day of school is to write it down!  So, here it is...our life (or as much as I can find the time to write down!).

I also feel it important to record my thoughts and feelings about what is important to me--finding happiness in our journey through this life.  There are so many things that are important to me that I want to set down in record.  I love the gospel and my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  My children and husband are my life and reason I am here.  I get so much joy and growth from making our little world happier, and I try to be more thoughtful and specific in the ways that I parent.  I love music and singing.  The passion that I feel in conveying emotions through song is wonderful!  I love the callings that I serve in my church!  Right now, I get to play and learn with the Young Women organization in our church, girls 12-18 years!  I love to have them in my life, to "mother" these daughters of God in ways that I hope mirror the ways that I mother my own sons.  We truly are a part of the human family, every one of us!I love the world around me where I reside, but also the people and places around the globe!  I feel that God has blessed us with so much in this world that it is our charge to experience what He has given us to the fullest.

This is my journey on earth to find "heaven" here...in the experiences, in the growth, in the people and places of my life.  This blog is where I can record "My Good Heavens".
